The Schoolers Series
Schoolers has one goal — better riders, better trainers. The Schoolers Series measures your progress across three tests, with a dressage scoresheet plus training feedback after each round.
NZ$120 · three tests
Three tests.
Three rounds
Three judged tests for you and your horse that measure progress — no expiry.
Scoresheet plus video commentary
Every ride comes back with a full scoresheet and your judge’s video walkthrough for tips and information to help you improve.
Measure your progress
Your three scores draw your progress line. The climb is what counts! To be eligible for prizes, make sure you ride the three tests at one level within three months — see the leaderboard.
What you get
Three scoresheets
Scoresheets are back within seven working days of each test. See how you fare against competition standards by a qualified dressage judge.
Three video walkthroughs
Your judge watches your ride and talks you through it as it plays to support your progress.
Your place on the leaderboard
Monthly and all-time, at your level — under your name or an alias if you’d rather ride privately.
Chasing the leaderboard?
Ride your three tests at the same level, within three months of your first, and your progress score is eligible for rosette prizes.
Each month, digital rosettes go to placings 1st–6th, and when a month’s field reaches six at one level (or bundled with neighbouring levels) — something turns up in the post for placings 1st–3rd. Learn more
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a video to join?
No. Enter today, film later — we’ll show you where to drop in each video link when you’re ready.
What if I miss a month?
Nothing is lost — your tests never expire. The three-month rhythm only decides the progress board and prizes; the judging, scoresheets and all-time board are yours regardless.
Can I change level mid-series?
Yes — switch whenever you like, and ride any Schoolers test within the level you’re at. Your progress score needs three tests at the same level though, so a switch starts a fresh line.
Do I have to plait, or wear whites?
No plaits, no dress code, no competition whites. English, western, baroque or bitless — ride in what you train in, on the ground your horse knows. We judge the riding.
What if I need to scratch?
Your tests keep. Pause, switch horses, or pass them to a friend. More on the rules page
Can I enter from overseas?
Yes. Everything is digital except the occasional parcel; overseas riders cover the courier.
